We truly believe the wellbeing of individuals is greatly improved by strong communities, that is why we created The Local Business Awards. Local businesses are more than just a business they are the very fabric of our communities, when they succeed they are fundamental to the success of your neighbourhood. They bring personality and vibrance to the high street and create opportunities, employment, and networks that are essential for building thriving local economies.
By giving national recognition to the best local businesses in the UK we will create a local business revolution inspiring resilient, thriving local economies, opportunity for all, and a sustainable future we can be proud of.
More Than Awards
The Local Business Awards are a social enterprise on a mission to celebrate the best local businesses in the UK. We are an independent organisation and we are carbon-neutral, we offset our carbon emissions by investing in the education of girls in Sub-Saharan Africa this is an often overlooked way to carbon offset, you can find out more about why we are choosing this here.
We will also plant a tree for every entry we receive.
Winners of the Local Business Awards will also become the founding members of "Club Local" this truly is a membership money can't buy. More details will be announced the week commencing 26/04/2021.
The Financial Dividend Of Shopping Local
Every £1 spent with a local supplier is worth £1.76 to the local economy, and only 36 pence if it is spent out of the local area. That makes £1 spent locally worth almost 400 % more to the local economy.
Supporting local means that you care about the community that you live in. You'll also be able to put money back into your community and the other people who call it home.
The Local Business Awards do not have sponsors, we have Awards Ambassadors. Our Ambassadors are local charities, social enterprises, and champions of local business.
All Ambassador relationships are non-commercial, we will just be working together to grow the Local Business Revolution.
This is also why we don’t have a charity category, If you believe in our mission and want to become an Award Ambassador please just get in touch and we will support your cause.
We charge a small entry fee to cover our costs, we are a social enterprise that means all profits will be reinvested or distributed to our charity partners. We do not have sponsors and all award ambassadors work on a noncommercial arrangement. The Local Business Awards are not like other awards, we have multiple winners per category so you have a very good chance of success.
