Start-ups contribute nearly £200 billion to the UK’s economy every year and it is widely recognised that much of the UK’s economic growth will come from startups.
Start-ups are important for generating economic prosperity, employment opportunities, and innovation and successful start-ups can transform local communities contributing to the success of established businesses.
The current economic climate is the most challenging environment entrepreneurs have faced in many years and it has never been more important to support local entrepreneurs as they are the lifeblood of our economy. That is why, after several requests, we have decided to add The Start-Up category to The Local Business Awards.
